@sittingwithlauren: When we approach certain edges of our experience, dissociation might show up as a cue. A cue to slow down or stop or take a beat, because we're approaching something that has been hard to hold or has previously felt like too much, too soon, or too fast. Dissociation isn't a sign of resistance. It's a way our nervous system communicates about what we are approaching emotionally and checking in on our capacity to be with it. What is it like to see dissociation as a cue about pacing or capacity? In my new mini course, Sitting With Dissociation, I teach you how to notice the edges of your own experience, because we all experience it a little differently. If you're curious about working WITH your dissociation, check out the course at the link in my bio 🤍 #somatictherapist #healingtrauma #dissociation #dissociate #nervoussystemhealth
