Awe :-( my bio dad killed himself when I was 10 months old and my mom kept it from me and I found out on my own and I was 25 when I found out on my own and mom said my step dad is my bio dad

Girl I just went to a funeral for a 17 yr old the past weekend. It literally came out of no where, no signs there was any wrong. Unbelievable sad 😢

My kids dad did the same thing they at the time was 6,8,11,14 I told them the truth! We was not together when that happen and my now husband was apart of their life at that time I never regretted my decision on being truthful even though people was against me telling them what happen! They already had a lot to process, let alone reliving me not being truthful so I always stood by my decision! Been 15yrs! Praying for you!

I lost a friend to suicide. His 13 year old sister reached out to me because his family couldn’t locate him. There’s so much I wish I had done differently. I don’t know if it would have mattered, but I will carry that forever.

I didn’t know if someone who passed due to suicide til I was 17 .. my daughter lost her friend to suicide at 12 & I didn’t (&still don’t) know how to help her deal with the grief. I got her in counseling

I lost a good friend to it when I was 11 years old he had just turned 13 i was a lot to deal with especially being so young it was hard for all of us in school to process what had happened his brother was in my class 💔

So question- you say your mom made it worse by not telling you till you were older but you still at 11 had trouble fully understanding. My mom was adopted, she was told at a very young age that she was adopted. She wonders if it would have been different to know when she was older, to maybe better understand… I wonder what the best choice is in these situations.

I was adopted as an infant and hearing for the first time my biological parents passed away when I was small was hard. Knowing I would never meet them. That affected me in a lot of ways. Until I gave that pain to Jesus way later. My story is crazy but then I found Jesus ♥️

I was the same way with my son. I never told him til he was a 11 either but his dad's family never wanted anything to do with my son and still don't and he is almost 17

I’m sorry you had to experience that feeling those feelings of the world being better off without you isn’t easy but I keep going fo my 7 year old I’ve always been the person there for everyone else and then have no one there for me. I have no friends and no support system and it’s not easy

My mom hid that my step dad was not my bio dad. when I turned 10 I realized that I had a different last name. when I asked an older cousin. she confirmed that I had a different father. my mom was upset that my cousin told me. I have never seen a picture of my bio dad and all my mom has said was that he did not want me and treated her bad. I honestly do not want to ask more questions that man is dead and would not make a difference.
