In 2018 at Teesside Crown Court, Kitching was sentenced to just 18 months' imprisonment after being found guilty of sexually assaulting four young girls by pulling down their trousers, indecently touching a 12-year-old child, and sexually assaulting a five-month-old infant. The court heard that when the 12-year-old victim told him to stop, Kitching persisted until she punched him in the face to defend herself. After being granted bail to a West Yorkshire address, Kitching committed six further sexual assaults against a five-month-old baby within 24 hours. Kitching is now living in close proximity to Brighouse Sixth Form College in West Yorkshire and has been identified using the fake Facebook profile name Sean Dewhirst.
