1. The shoving was assault and abuse.
2. The hit was assault and abuse.
3. The threats are abuse.
Things will only get worse if you stay. Get a restraining order. Get a lawyer. And don't protect him by being quiet about it. If he loses his job, he loses jt.

I'd call the cops and his company and then reassure him that my actions were simply a warning tap so he should relax.

TWO THINGS:
1. A “warning tap” is abuse. Report it immediately.
2. Any person (specifically any man) who goes that crazy over their phone is hiding something. He is fearful you took it to go through it. Get out NOW.

"Warning tap" implies there will be escalation. Him being more worried about his career than his wife further shows his lack of empathy and remorse. Immediate divorce and make sure he knows youll escalate if he makes the divorce hard. Put up very firm boundaries, cause hes gonna push the limits more to see if theres anything he can get away with if you even give him an inch

That was abuse don't let him change your mind divorce him never look back. It will just get worse if you get back together. Notice that he's just concerned about how he would look not that he actually hit you he is not sorry at all.

That level of anger over a missing phone means he has something to hide on that phone. That alone is enough to leave him, let alone the "warning tap".
