Victims often deal with retaliation and see very few ways to safely continue their education. Having this kind of transfer system would be a really impactful option for victims!

Great idea. I went through a situation with a professor back in the day and was told I could leave or sue (and likely win), but that would be the end of my academic career/PhD, as I would be black balled no other university would take me. In the end I had to take classes with him to finish my degree 🙃

as an ivy grad who was at rock bottom freshman year because of SA this is incredible. i can’t even express how much something like this would’ve helped me at the time. people don’t understand how rape can drive someone to want to leave this earth. this could save lives

Giving options is good, but I would anticipate that it might be very hard for survivors to transfer. They may lose their friends, clubs, support systems. Would they get the same scholarships? And would they have to move away from family? Why punish survivors... punish abusers
