kpop idols are/have always been performers atleast after 2nd gen they were never musicians or vocalists , they are some good and Great ones but it was never their main thing. Only SM has Great vocalists and they too Tanked after 2ndgen idk why ppl are expecting great vocals from kpop idols when they mostly Focus on theirs looks , charts Starpower etc. and it wouldn't change now. it's gonna get worse . eithe you enjoy or just ignore them

ngl potentially unpopular opinion, I dont even need every single idol to be able to hit a 10-second high note or do an aerial. I just need you to sound good, have good range, be versatile and adaptable, and be able to dance with good rhythm, unity, and endurance. idrgaf about if you can rap, but if thats what you choose, you still should be able to have half-decent vocals and dance.
