you can use airbending techniques to firebend, you can use waterbending technique to redirect lightning. you can even use airbending techniques to waterbend. earthbending is vastly different. their own martial arts style is also olar opposites. baguazhang is literally about mobility and not being tethered to the earth. aang is a pacifist, and uses evasive maneuvers. all of this makes aang ill equipped to master earthbending.

He had the most trouble LEARNING Earth Bending. He had the most trouble chosing to USE Fire bending. Once he LEARNED Earth Bending, he starting spamming ts. Wheras with Fire Bending he never WANTED to use it

earth was hardest because it's LITERALLY the opposite of air bending. air wants u light n floaty. Earth wants u firm n steady. just like water n and fire are opposites. water flows n is calming while fire is energetic n angry.

Wait… people don’t understand this? Aang was firebending before he even touched water. 😂 He just wasn’t ready to firebend, because he needed to learn the calm and groundedness of waterbending and Earthbending first. If anything, Air and Fire are very alike, just like Water and Earth are alike.

the only reason Aang had any trouble with fire was because of trauma. if he hadn't hurt Katara, he would've mastered fire bending as quickly as he mastered water bending.

Most trouble learning dosent mean he's bad at it dude this is a very dumb argument aang we see lifting big pillar at base at 12 and on the avatar state he was lifting them like it's nothing aang earthbent the same day and also it took korra 13 years to air bend does this mean that she's bad at air? no she later on became a master so it's not his worst element it's his probably second best

It is a much different issue for him to have a trauma related issue performing firebending, than the actual physical and spiritual hurdles in performing earthbending.

I think it was very obvious that his struggles with fire bending was with using fire itself and simply not having many teachers who was willing to teach him rather than him being naturally bad at it ;-;
