If you put those back on the car, WHY wouldn't you paint them BEFORE putting them on thw car???

They make rolls of plastic specific for painting cars, tape everything first with tape bent in half, then just pull over plastic, stick it to tape, cut out areas you’re working on. So much easier and saves money

280 grit on new panels that are already primed is a bit aggressive. 320 would be the lowest I’d go. No need to use the transtar primer on those panels. If it was me, 400 those panels, straight to color, then clear. Color might be off bc of no blending. Oh yea, cover that car up w plastic!

Why not just spray parts off the car, then re assemble??? That way you can get the jambs also and won’t have to spend money on masking tape, plastic and paper. And also prep was all wrong, use 320/400 then spray primer sealer. Also lots of Toyota bumpers come raw plastic unless that’s aftermarket.
