I hadn't seen my grandad in 5 years, I booked flights 8 months in advance to see him, he died 2 weeks before I got there. The day before he died he was scrubbing the patio to get it ready for me. The week leading up to it he spent finding a book on our family history because he knew I'd be interested and wanted to go through it with me. If I let myself think about him for too long I nearly vomit I get so grief stricken. It's been 2 years and I still haven't been able to read the book, if I don't open it then it's in limbo and technically still waiting for us to read it together. I hate how much it hurts. Now I'm crying at work.
