I am a carer and I honestly don't think im gonna make a profit this month and its not about the money id do it for free but when u are not even covered for your entire commute you gotta worry about paying the bills each month 🤷♂️on top of that we are forced to be on a tight schedule abd to neglect specific duties of a client. a lot of them live in filthy environments with horrible smells and appearances we should be focusing on bettering the client on top of increasing the payout its a 50/50 process not everything should be about money

Thank you!! We should be earning at least 3k a month without overtime! We go through a lot, our bodies go through soo much and we sacrifice a lot!!

Most care workers are on the verge of a breakdown. It's mentally and physically exhausting. Extremely understaffed, low pay, emotionally/physically abused daily. Constantly hearing how bad we are at our jobs by crap management. It's a joke.

as a nurse I have on request. Tax us for 37.5hrs like everyone else and any extra Shifts we do after this should be tax free. that will solve a lot of staffing shortages

Yeah breaking our backs and working so hard for minimum wage, it's actually soul destroying, I don't even take home 2K a month and I work 12 hour night shifts

I was just looking at the carer jobs for a new luxury care home being built and even there wages are shocking, it’s the owners of these care homes and companies that will benefit not us carers

Door to door care worker are in modern slaves. Work 17hours a day and actual paid work 8 hours rest gone one house to another house. No fuel money.

As a carer I feel so emotionally and physically drained. We get paid rubbish money, we don’t get paid between jobs (even though we spend the majority of our time travelling) we’re understaffed, which means the pressure is put on the minimal staff we have. Us carers deserve recognition for what we do.. we are tired!
