Fascinating. It makes sense why the marginalized are most likely to accept Islam, no matter the era. Cuz Islam doesn't threaten their non-existent material possessions or social status. Conversely, the elites tend to be more resistant to Islam cuz it threatens their entrenched interests. No one encapsulates this better than Walid bin Almughira.
