Yes. I am thankful for the people who spoke life into me when I was young and I do my best to view life through the lens of my kids. They have not seen or experienced but it does mean that the things they experience are not difficult. That being said, teens are difficult and I am walking through addressing perspective with them. There is a lot of comparing for teens and occasionally we have to recalibrate and focus on what we do have, both physically and characteristics, that make us stronger.
