Cummins have a bulletin about this, fuel is heated up during combustion causing impurities in fuel. No fix , carry extra filters.

That looks like cheap fuel with to much biodiesel. my filters did the same thing the other week. I got fuel really cheap at a circleK in Texas.

Your davco filter needs to be replaced. The dark color is from the algae in the fuel. Time to replace the filter

going through the same thing..my tanks were bad ...washed the tanks..still have a lil..so i open the valve a lil every trip to empty that bad fuel. keeps my filer alot cleaner

I kept having that issue, looked similar and was told algae, tanks looked good but I treated it anyhow and havent had any issues since. if it does it again within a week or 2, id look in to it
