Taking accountability here: I’ve been passively aggressive when I was out in an uncomfortable situation because I didn’t know how to confront the situation head on. It was easier to make a snide remark rather than asking “why have you been distant for the last two weeks” and honestly that question would’ve cleared up so much

had a friend who would block me whenever she was mad at me and then proceed to ask me to hang out daily, but when i started distancing myself and setting more boundaries, she cut off a 14 year friendship just because i held up a mirror

Passive aggression hates to see me coming. Because now I know you think you have the authority to make me feel about myself and I’m going to show you don’t.

I get tripped up bc I feel like I owe them an explanation for why I’m exiting tho. But maybe that keeps me stuck in the same cycle of catering to the passive aggressive person

this... I'm part of an art collective and the collective leader recently got upset and lashed out in a meeting before communicating what they needed or what their boundary was, and when I pushed back on their behavior they accused me of being passive aggressive for afterwards falling silent and not engaging after I realized they were not in the conversation in good faith. like the passive aggressive part of that would be me initiating or trying to get a reaction, I am trying to not have any interaction with you at all babe LMAO

This is so true. I never received so much passive aggression until I reached a higher level in my career, and it’s so negative. It’s so strange they act mean, but want to be connected and get a reaction…it feels like they want to siphon your energy

Exactly this, ppl will see you withdraw and think “I can feel you strengthening our soul tie” and start reacting to nothing
