@liftwsarah: 8 benefits of working out and being active that have absolutely nothing to do with how your body looks. The benefits of weight lifting and an active lifestyle go way beyond building muscle. Better sleep, stronger bones, better cardiovascular fitness, easier everyday tasks, stress management, feeling fitter in daily life, better digestion and, rather importantly, potentially living longer. If you’re trying to build healthier habits but struggling to find a reason to keep going, remember that your progress isn’t limited to what you can see in the mirror. Personally, being able to carry all my shopping in one trip and poop twice a day is enough motivation for me. #healthyhabits #activelifestyle #healthylifestyle #womensfitness #gymwomen

I used to be pretty fit despite being morbidly obese. I loved going to the gym, walking and riding my bike. Especially the first point I love and motivated me, it had such a big positive impact on my mental health. Now I'm chronically ill, and can't exercise anymore. I've lost over 60kg but my health is the worst it's ever been. I really miss exercising, especially when my mental health is not in the best place like it is right now.
