Respectfully though back then bathrooms had couches and chairs because it was the scene. Ladies went to the bathroom to fix their hair and make up and their friends went with them so you’re wrong lol

Reminding them to put their names on their papers. I tell them, “You’ve been in school for at least 10 years at this point. Every single piece of paper you’ve turned in required your name. How are you still forgetting this? Honestly it should be reflex at this point to just scribble your name on any paper that presents itself in front of you.”

Most adults don’t know how to clean up after themselves. I don’t know how many times I walk into work and the break table is nasty because people can’t clean up after themselves. Mind you I work at a place that you have to be 18 or older to work at.

I know you are right… but for some reason it also feels like yeah, this does need to be taught and expectations expressed, which is teaching/explaining that this is what they have to do or lose those privileges. I know it isn’t always so simple.

This country NEEDS more teachers like you. 🙏🙏🙏 Parents dont hold their kids accountable anymore. There's no more home training for kids. I taught my sons early, clean up after themselves, owning their mistakes. My sons are professional with co workers they don't like, as I do.

My kids have been taught this over and over. Elemetary/middle school teachers and admin are too permissive. By the time kids reach high schools they've learned to walk all over you guys and parents don't give a damn. Parents expect the cell phones to placate and teachers to baby sit.
