Today I was thinking about, well, why did White people end up with all the power in the first place? And here's my take on that. I personally think it makes more sense that Blk ppl were already here. York a Blk man led Louis and Clark’s missions, knew the languages of the ppl and they knew how to grow on the land agriculturally. Hence why they enslaved them. Europeans were in a famine when they arrived. They were running from starvation and persecution of themselves. Remember learning about the separatist and Puritans in school? The blk natives taught Europeans how to grow crops. They discovered America was the land of milk and honey and had peaceful melanated/ Blk ppl already living there. There is word that melanated ppl were even in Europe and Asia but I digress. The aboriginal blks shared the way Blk ppl seem to always share their intellectual property and culture but eventually the European brought more boats with weapons. They then told other Europeans about the vast land. There are no slave ships and no traces of that large amount of ppl coming from Africa. No traces to specific bloodlines or families in Africa. The phenotype and genetic differences are too vast. George Washington said remove their feathers turbans and sandals and they will forget who they are and their inheritance. Some ppl just see Blk skin but iykyk. Mentality is also a factor. Even through the worst the blk ppl stayed and fought oppression. Even the European was running from himself it appears. Anywho, I appreciate ppl who do the inner work. The deceit and layers to all this get really deep I hope you keep uncovering bcs you do a good job at breaking things down and analyzing why ppl behave and think the way they do when it comes to things like race. I say all this to remind you and others that the victor gets to tell HIS STORY (history) not necessarily the truth. Bcs the truth will set even the ppl who think they benefit from this system free An example is seen in how “certain ppl” are so afraid of ppl learning about the real history of this nation (buying of old books, closing of museums and removal of parts of history in curriculum).
