@theregendoc: Most people have heard of peptides by now, but here's what they actually are: a peptide is essentially a baby protein, a chain of amino acids that sends your body a very specific signal to do a specific task. Insulin? That's a peptide. In fact, it was one of the first peptides ever made, and its job is to signal your body to lower blood sugar. I never really thought about it that way until recently, insulin is basically the OG peptide. That's also why GLP-1s like Ozempic, Mounjaro, and the newly approved Retatrutide have become so popular. They send a signal to decrease appetite. But newer-generation peptides like Retatrutide go further, they also help improve insulin sensitivity, meaning your body may process sugar more efficiently. That's a real benefit beyond appetite suppression alone, and it's honestly why I'm a much bigger fan of Reta than I am of Ozempic.
