@mendingmeredith: actually feeling a little bit better since stopping mirtazapine lol. kudos to anyone who can stay on that med!! maybe its better for other people. hoping wellbutrin is the one for me :) #majordepressivedisorder #MentalHealth #depression
I have MDD that’s treatment-resistant and see a lot of myself in you lol. I’m proud of you for getting help and I’m so glad you have a great doctor! Have you considered spravato (esketamine) therapy? It’s significantly helped my ideation. DMs are open if you have questions!

It does get better, I’m finally doing things I love again. It’s been years and years of fighting and “new meds”. My work is one of my biggest issues right now. I didn’t realized how miserable my boss was until I finally am feeling a bit better. Here to listen. I feel what you are going through so much. Hang in there.

Are you married? I was wondering what kind of support you get from your spouse?

Recovering alcoholic with 3 deletion attempts here - I get it. My baseline is depressed without meds and I too, finally have a psychiatrist who I can be honest with and thinks my dark humor is funny which is a bonus. I’ve always reinforced that I probably wouldn’t need meds if the world was built for people like us (you and me) and didn’t revolve around being a slave to the system and having to pay just to survive, let alone die. I also explained that I l’ve learned about quantum immortality and there will be no more deletion attempts because the next timeline could be so much worse. 😂 thanks for coming on here and sharing your experience. I hate being in the hospital too and I also hate lying about needing to be in the hospital. Sending hugs 🫶

I thank you for sharing your story on here. I’m in the midst of having a mdd right now. It is difficult to find friends that understand it. Keep pushing forward. I’m taking it one second at a time. I pray it gets better for you soon.

I get what you are saying. Family and friends don’t want to hear it and it’s hard telling others you are not better. You are lucky to live in Winnipeg where there is group therapy. My aha moment was when I was giving this young girl advice on when to go grocery shopping. Getting help or helping someone else is rewarding. You will get there.

hi, I want to talk to my therapist about depression. My therapist told me that I have an ED, and they say I also have OCD. I do feel bad, tired, empty most of the time, but also have good days. I want to ask them but I don't want the to think that I'm diagnosing myself or something like that. I just need answers. I need tips

Does Canada have PHP or IOP programs? Might be the perfect option for the level of support you need right now.

I'm so glad for you that you had such a successful doctor's appt, I feel that's a battle in instelf. It's really good you have a doctor that understands you and meets you where you're at! Hoping the Wellbutrin works wonders for you!
I have therapy tomorrow and a doctor's appt on Friday. I am dreading both. The therapist appointment is always tough for me because I'm feeling I'm getting no where. And my doctor doesn't get me and I just feel like I get my prescriptions and go. I had a few extremely difficult days last week, almost called the crisis line, I probably should have to be honest. But it's even hard to open up to family, I feel like they try to get it but then will most times sugar coat it. It's a very alone feeling, it's hard.

I’ve been on Wellbutrin and kind of had manic episodes because of it, just be aware it’s a possibility! I’m on Mirtazapine now, and am definitely gaining weight too. Hopefully your new meds work for you!

Wellbutrin is extremely effective if it works for you so I would pick up your prescription as soon as you can. I seen amazing results in about 2 1/2 weeks.
