Nurse here! I have been screaming this for years!! I refused to participate. Unfortunately there are many nurses who did, and would do it again.

Nurses will let it happen again because nurses are threatened that if they don’t follow the policy, they can find a new job so yes they will. I’ve seen nurses get walked off the floor because the order from the dock is contraindicated for that patient and management just says well, then you’re fired and walks him out the door.
