Her lawsuit, filed September 16th in New York, also names Cornell, the fraternity and its national organization, her sorority, Tri Delta, and Moonies Bar & Nightclub, which she claims served her while she was underage. According to the lawsuit, the men were temporarily suspended after she reported the incident, and were given the opportunity to reduce their discipline by writing essays. Her attorney says two were later expelled following a Title IX investigation. But the Tompkins County District Attorney says no charges were filed in 2024 because the sworn statement she gave police back then is very different from what's in her lawsuit, and did not meet New York's legal definition of a crime. Her attorney disputes that, saying she was never interviewed by investigators trained to speak with survivors. Now, the DA is reopening the case and preparing to present it to a grand jury.
