Fucking abhorrent…I hate that this is reality for women, and yeah you are so right….as a guy I have it so easy, as a guy I don’t have to double check over my shoulder walking down the street…I don’t have to take extra precautions just in case, I don’t have to mind how I dress so as not to give some seedy bastard a green light to do whatever they want.. it shouldn’t be the case for anyone, it shouldn’t be the case that in the 21st century we’re still battling these things but I’m all for the fight👊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

aged 19, magaluf at a foam party. A faceless man forcefully put his hand down my trousers and it took all of my strength to remove it and elbow him away from me. never saw his face to ID him as i couldn't see through the foam. This was in 2001.

my brother gave me a blackeye just for fun. He just wanted to see how it looks like when somebody has a blackeye so he punched me with his fist right to my eye and LAUGHED. For hours until our parents came home. He told them I was ASKING FOR IT (I was 6, he was 11) and there were no consequences for him at all. I just stayed home "sick" until it healed because my parents were medical doctors and THEY would look bad. Then, when I was 8, my brother gave me a concussion because I changed program on TV. It was OF COURSE my fault. I never went to hospital with that because my parents worked here and THEY would look bad... I won't continue because there is a lot of this and I am pissed, however, my brother is now medical doctor too. Very respected, so smart, in science, published and stuff.... NO CONSEQUENCES EVER.

As a chap that was abused myself, and not only by one person I was 14 at the time and I firmly believe everything you have the rage just like me, I so agree with you that the law needs to change and people need to be brought to book. X

8yrs old walking back from the shop when a man got out of a car dropped his pants and flashed at me i dropped my bottles and ran home My Dads friend a police man said no point reporting it coz i couldn't discribe him 51yrs later i can still discribe his face and his diamond pattern grey jumper.

I just recently had an ex-boyfriend pick up a pair of shoes for me and try to kiss me and touch me inappropriately and when I pushed him away from me and tell him that when I’m mad anymore, you got ended with me like I did something wrong. This stigma that they owed something or that they’re overpowering women has to end.

It is truly horrific. I would personally feel like I failed as a mother if this was one of my boys. Mine are too young to understand the details with rape but they are never too young to understand consent and respect (including my daughter) and that's what we have started with. Last year when my son was 9 his teacher came out at pick up time, she told me he had gotten into an argument. One of the boys in his class had told the kids his mother is a bitch like all women, my son stood up in front of everyone on his own and told this kid to stop, it was disrespectful and he should love women. My son is usually quiet but will speak up if something is wrong especially towards women. He did good and I think will do good in the future, I obviously gave him praise for standing up but part of me thinks this is the basics, if something isn't right we should all be standing up.
