I’m homeless and currently living in a transitional housing shelter. I have my own room, but the bathroom, kitchen, and other common areas are shared. I know my situation may not look like what some people imagine homelessness to look like, but I am still homeless and working toward getting stable housing for me and my baby. I’ve also been on my own since I was about 15 years old, so I’ve had to learn how to take care of myself from a really young age. Worked 7 hours this morning, filmed this video, and now I’m headed back to work for another 5 hours. 12 hours total today while 8 months pregnant. I’m exhausted, but I’m determined to keep working and save as much as I can before my baby boy gets here. I also officially passed my life insurance exam! God is so good. I’m trying my hardest to create better opportunities for myself so I can provide my son with a stable, beautiful life. At the end of the day, that’s what I care about most.
