@couriercolorado: A proposed hyperscale data center in northeast Aurora has drawn growing opposition from residents worried about what the massive project could mean for nearby neighborhoods. Vantage Data Centers’ proposed Trident campus would be Colorado’s largest data center if completed, and residents have raised concerns about its potential noise, pollution, and enormous demand for electricity and water. Those concerns brought residents — including several young people — to Aurora City Council on Sept. 28 for hours of public comment. The Trident project is already moving through the city’s review process under existing zoning rules, while Aurora officials consider new regulations for future data centers. That distinction has become central to the fight: residents are pressing city leaders not only over Trident, but over what they will allow to happen next. #coloradonews #datacenters #aurora

If you live in Thornton, Westminster Aurora, you’re getting a data center. You guys may have passed a moratorium for now but they’re still allowing us to plan. You guys better vote out your councilors or you are 100% getting data centers the deals are done.

I would like to know what their real beef with data centers are. facts only, not inferences. I would bet my paycheck they have 0 hard facts. I mean actual gallons and MW per day real usage.

Data centers are great, but 100 yards might be too close.
