They take no more than 5 minutes to set up and will put you so much farther ahead of your peers 1️⃣ High Yield Savings Account. Earn interest on the money just sitting in your account with the same FDIC protections as your normal checking account. 2️⃣ Rewards Credit Card. Get points on spending categories you already spend in with the added protection that credit cards offer over a debit card. Make sure you spend responsibly and pay off the card every month. 3️⃣ 401k or similar account depending on your employer. These are tax advantaged retirement accounts, and if your employer offers a match, take full advantage. There is no better way to spend your money 4️⃣ Roth IRA. Everyone should have a Roth IRA. It’s a tax advantaged account that anyone can open on their own where you contribute after tax money and never pay taxes on any gains when you retire.
