@realjordanmurphy: THE DARK PSYCHOLOGY BEHIND NARCISSISM NOBODY WARNED YOU ABOUT 🖤 It isn’t always the obvious cruelty that keeps you stuck. Sometimes it’s the psychological cycle. They make you feel incredibly special. Then they pull away. You question what changed. You try harder. They give you just enough affection to make you hopeful again. Then the cycle repeats. This can create a relationship where you’re constantly chasing the version of them who made you feel loved. And slowly… you start questioning yourself. You start walking on eggshells. You over-explain. You apologize when you weren’t wrong. You monitor their moods. You become obsessed with fixing the relationship. You start wondering: “Am I the problem?” That’s one of the most damaging parts of psychological manipulation- the relationship can eventually make you distrust your own perception. And here’s what I want you to remember: You don’t have to spend the rest of your life trying to understand someone else’s behavior. At some point, the healing becomes about understanding YOU. Why did you stay? Why did you stop trusting yourself? Why do boundaries feel guilty? Why does peace feel unfamiliar? And most importantly… Who are you becoming now that you don’t have to survive them anymore? That’s the real glow-up. Not becoming someone they regret losing. Becoming someone who no longer abandons herself to be loved. Want to understand the psychology AND learn how to rebuild your confidence, boundaries, identity, and life after abuse?
