your beef may be with firehouse. the restaurants upcharge the cost of each item from the menu up to 30% to offset the cost of what doordash is charging them to use the service. then you have your doordash fees, tip, etc.

I used to use DoorDash several times a week. The nasty dashers and their vehicles have ruined it for me. If I ever use the app I’ll hit the pickup instead of delivery and it gives you like a percentage of what your order was of credits to use for your next purchase. As well as the prices are different with most restaurants on if you’re having it delivered or picked up. The pricing of the food is sometimes 2-4 dollars more when choosing the delivery option.

My neighbor DoorDash-ed two extra value meals from McDonalds and it was over $50. McDonald’s is less than a mile from us. I told her “cancel the order, I’ll drive you there”. She saved more than $30.

This is on the restaurant. Door dash is the go between restaurant to driver . The driver also sits and waits for your food . Blame the restaurant they upcharge so they don’t have to pay their fees .

I deliver for doordash I’ve never ordered from them myself. Are the prices different on the doordash app than going to the actual restaurant. They probably got you with a types of fees.
