@hermoneymastery: Replying to @misscarrie_ getting a month ahead on bills will change the game for you!! I teach about this in depth inside the Academy 💕 #Budgeting #budgetingforbeginners #budget #budgetingtiktok #budgetplanner
I love this idea. I’m trying to figure out the weekly input to the bill account. I get paid biweekly and the husband gets paid weekly..

My rent is half of my income. I have no where else to go. I am working two jobs and I am still struggling!

If you get paid biweekly you’d change the pay 1,2,3,4 to pay 1 & 2 right ?

my husband started a new job and now we are getting paid every 2 weeks. i had Gemini help me set up a spreadsheet with every bill and all the pay dates for the rest of this year & all of next year. the spreadsheet automatically separated each bill into its appropriate paycheck. as i check off the bills as they get paid it calculates the total still owed & remaining money on hand. we are working on paying off everything that can be paid for a full year (like Hulu, phones, internet) so we dont have to worry about those each month. we finally have some breathing room and we arent hitting a zero balance before the next payday. paying ahead and having a dedicated bill pay account is life changing.

So do you have 2 checking accounts? One for bills and one for everything else?

Ok sista but do u have any suggestions over exact savings account options, bc I opened a secondary bank account and I’m already doing this, BUT all the savings accounts I see need you to keep about 5000 in wo moving income out

For someone who has alot of bills, it sounds like it would take awhile to get the “month ahead” saved up

I wish my bills were only 2000. That’s my house. My bills are like 5200 a month.

I did this method when I had an apartment that was nearly half of my net pay. I set up a separate checking account that was on auto pay so I didn’t have to think about it. When you get paid biweekly it makes it easier to budget on 26 paychecks when you have a buffer too
