The morning after four inches of rain fell in two hours, our school bus was almost empty. That was the first thing I noticed. Usually, you could barely move. Students filled every seat. People stood in the aisle. Backpacks were everywhere. But that morning, there were only six of us. It was still dark outside. Fog covered the road. Water ran down both sides of the street, and the trees looked black against the gray sky. I sat by the window. Nobody talked. The bus driver kept both hands on the wheel. We stopped at the first red light. There wasn’t another car anywhere. Just fog. Then I saw someone walking toward my window. A silhouette. Tall. Slow. I watched it come closer. Step. Step. Step. It stopped beside the bus. I couldn’t see a face. Just a dark shape standing inches from the glass. Then it raised one hand. And pointed at me. I looked away for one second. When I looked back, it was gone. The light turned green. I asked the driver if he saw it. He didn’t answer. Then he quietly said, “Don’t look outside.” That made everyone on the bus go silent. We reached the next stop. Nobody got on. But the driver opened the doors anyway. For about ten seconds, we waited. Then he closed them. I heard someone behind me whisper my name. I turned around. Nobody was there. My phone vibrated. No signal. A text appeared. COUNT THE PEOPLE. I looked around. Six students. The driver. Seven. Then I noticed the reflection in the window. There were eight. Someone was sitting directly behind me. I slowly turned. The seat was empty. I looked back at the window. The reflection was still there. It said three words. DON’T TURN AROUND. Then four words appeared beneath them. IT IS SITTING BEHIND YOU. I felt something touch the back of my seat. Once. The bus suddenly stopped. Everyone looked forward. The driver was staring into the fog. A figure stood in the middle of the road. He whispered, “That isn’t a student.” The figure started walking toward us. Slowly. The doors unlocked by themselves. Nobody moved. Then the figure stepped onto the bus. Its shoes were completely dry. Water dripped from its clothes. But the floor beneath it stayed dry. It walked down the aisle. Past every student. Past the driver. And stopped beside me. I couldn’t breathe. It leaned toward the window. Then I saw its reflection. It wasn’t looking at me. It was looking at something behind me. I turned. The seat was empty. But the reflection showed someone sitting there. Smiling. The bus began moving again. I never looked back. When we reached school, I ran off. The other students followed. The driver stayed inside. Later, the principal told us the bus had only picked up six students that morning. Exactly six. But the camera showed seven. There was one more thing. The extra passenger had boarded at the empty stop. The footage showed it clearly. It was me. Wearing the same clothes. Sitting in the seat behind me. And according to the timestamp… I had boarded the bus twelve minutes before I actually did. #horrortok #scary #scarystories #horrortiktok #bus
