Nothing wrong with the storyline itself, but not for the Cosby show. Children out of wedlock is so normalized in the black community, that I can barely think of shows/representation that just has a traditional, black middle class family. that’s the family I came from, and the Cosby show is one of the few black shows. I can relate to.

I think the tea is just Phylicia Rashad had a baby during the third season of Cosby show and for Clair’s scenes they cut a hole into the couch and everything to conceal the pregnancy and most of Clair’s scenes were talking from the couch or behind something 😅

I see where Bill Cosby was coming from. He did not want to portray a dysfunctional family. He knew families are not perfect but he wanted to portray a family that was headed in the right direction. He didn’t want Sondra, Lisa, Vanessa and Rudy all getting pregnant on the show. Then Clair having to take care of the kids.
