Honestly, for a typical “kidnapped girl the male protagonist has to save and escape the evil situation they’re in” female protagonist, Ashley was refreshing. They didn’t make her naive or stupid enough to continuously get herself into trouble and the only times she got captured in the story was mainly due to the fact she external factors deliberately separated her from Leon. For a woman who gets taken to be “the chosen one” in a deranged cult, she did an awesome job
