I had a close friend whose life has come together on a timeline that is different than mine. I played a supportive role for her for years, being her cheerleader, her venting space and confidant. One day the Holy Spirit asked me, "Who will she be the day your blessings arrive and you stand on equal footing?". I prayed about that word, asking for clarity. Within a few weeks my "friend" ended our nearly 10 years of friendship because it "no longer serves her" and I finally understood what God was telling me. There are people that only feel comfortable with you when you are the underdog. They won't know what to do with you once you become their equal.

Sometimes people haven’t changed or acted strange towards you at all. They’ve just seen you at your lowest, and suddenly you start treating them differently. Then you turn around and blame them for changing 😭 Sometimes, it’s not them. It’s how you started seeing them after they saw you vulnerable.

When they had the perception that I was jobless and struggling she would tell me how she wanted us to meet for coffee.... They could act supportive.... Tell me everything will be okay until one day I told them that actually I have a very busy schedule ciz I got a job years back and been silent about it... Then they went silent and never talked to me again. Peace at last[Tears of joy]
