My mom quit when she got a memo saying f’s were no longer accepted. If she failed someone she had to take time after school to work with them until they had d or above. She had 45 students who had f’s for not showing up to class and she was told she had to meet with every one of them after school once a week. So other teachers just passed students. She just quit. This is why I home school.

This is precisely the reason why I refused to become a teacher... back in 2005 I was in my 11th grade math class and we did so horribly that my teacher, just a safe face had to grade my entire class on a curve. the highest grade in the class. It was a 49. that's an F. he grated us on a curve so that he wouldn't lose his job. And he wouldn't have to deal with a bunch of meddling parents complaining that there's no way they're special, perfect child failed this badly... i have not seen a grown man weep the way he did since.

Frankly why I don’t teach in schools that don’t let you fail kids. I tell parents and kids day one I will fail you in this class if you do not do well.

I wish this wasn’t as true as it actually is. I fully realize this is parody and meant to extremely show what has been happening, but there are parents that think their child never should get bad grades, administrators more concerned with keeping parents and board members happy and teachers caught in the crosshairs.
