you gotta to what you think is best. as time goes on you will know when it's a good time to change her pattern. the more milk you take away the more food she will eat.

I just transitioned mine. I started with 1 oz of milk and 5 oz of BM and added one oz every 3 days. Mine transitioned great. I also didn’t warm up the milk so they transition to cold drinks

my 26 weeker son, born 1lbs 6oz. He’s 10 months corrected 7 months, we did the bear straw cup and munchkin pug sippy cup and he did great with water! We will be doing cow milk transition at 12 months adjusted because he’s still only weighing 13lbs. Question was she sitting, crawling, or standing by her 1 year birthday? Gross motor skills have been our hardest battles thus far.

My preemie is also having false starts at 5am & refusing to go back to sleep until her first nap. We’re 9 months adjusted, 11 months actual.. not ready for this transition !

I have two premies. She will make up the calories with the meals I promise! It is hard and scary. We start our son with a banana first thing, then a bigger meal about an hour later. He has a bottle at naps, at bedtime, and sometimes if he’s up super early I’ll give him another bottle (even though he “shouldn’t’ have it) look at Nuk soft nipple sippy cups. We ended up just keeping our Mam bottles with a sippy cup nipple.

29 weeker here who recently turned 1 too. Most people we’ve come across forget he was so premature (with the exception of his pediatrician who trained in the NICU!). Getting lots of “recommendations” about sippy cups from various medical/therapy providers, but he’s still less than a year old adjusted and is just not ready. I completely understand wanting to keep them “on target,” but my goodness. He didn’t take a bottle for the first two months of his life, let’s cut him some slack here 😅

I honestly transitioned from breastmilk (weaned) straight to water at about 13 months for my first and my twins. My kids got cows milk every now and then but since they were eating three meals plus a snack here and there they were good. I also started giving them small cups of water with their meal
