Hi. We plan january trip for south Vietnam. HCMC for 2-3 days, Da Nang/Hoi An for 2-3 days and than Phu Quoc for 8-9 days for beaches and holiday. Than last 2 days in HCMC again. Can you advise some tips ? We wil go in january, we want see some nature also and I know most of it is in North, but weather will be worse there.

I’ve done Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi many times…fly into HMC,few days there…fly to either Hue or Da Nang…few days there..then overnight train to Hanoi…the scenery on the train from either Hue or Da nang is MUCH better than the train from HMC to Hue or Da nang…also if you stop at Hue you can book a motorbike ride through the Hai Van pass to Hoi an…then get a minibus from Hoi an to Da nang for the train journey to Hanoi…you also travel through ‘train street’ on the way into Hanoi on the train
