It could be histamine/mast cell related! Do you ever get stuffy or headachey from Parmesan cheese, wine, spinach, or leftovers? Estrogen can cause histamine dumping, so I always feel worse when I’m ovulating. Headaches, brain fog, insomnia/fatigue, irritability.

The healthcare system hasn’t been very good lately, and it really sucks. Hope you figure it out soon!

Wait girl as someone in grad school studying to be a registered dietitian I'm very confused why she told you to eat less carbs at breakfast 🥲 your body needs carbs, you just want to incorporate protein, fiber, and healthy fats to keep you full and energized (which should actually help with brain fog/fatigue)

Ferritin is the test that shows your iron storage but it’s also an acute phase reactant. which means it can be elevated when there’s inflammation. However 167 is very mildly elevated so it’s unlikely that’s anything super significant or the cause of your symptoms. unless your other inflammatory markers (like a crp or esr) are also elevated. I’m sorry that doesn’t help answer why you’re feeling more fatigued but just an explanation of that lab value. I wouldn’t be too concerned about that level because it’s pretty close to the typical range. I also get a lot of fatigue and migraines around my cycle, nothing has really helped. BUT vitamin B12 shots have helped my fatigue a little. Idk if you got B12 checked, you wouldn’t necessarily need the shot unless it’s low. But patients report that it helps with energy very often

Look into the Inito hormone monitor. You track by urine every other day for a month and the app generates a full overview and graph of what your hormones are doing. My naturopath recommended it for me, since blood hormone labs aren’t reliable and only capture what they’re doing in that particular day.

Do you get bloated and have painful periods? If so, could definitely be endometriosis. I was struggling for 8 years and finally got my diagnosis through surgery.

Yes!! I did blood work and nothing was wrong but i was just sooo tired and migraines were so bad, the only thing i did and i genuinely think it helped was probiotics ( seeds DS-01) it has to be this one and honestly felt incredible after. I did 3 months and then took a break, i put my whole family on this. Not sure how that made the situation better but i feel healthy

your ferritin level is perfect for a menstruating woman, you could donate blood a few times a year if it would bring you peace of mind! (more ferritin is better, my doctor is an integrative md and he would love my ferritin to reach that level) also - i love @arc.woman for holistic health information!
