I just wrote in layman’s terms a lot of rectal symptoms I’ve been having in a very long conversation . It gave me each time cautious hints about getting it checked. Then I asked it to make a hyper technical prompt for a new chat with all the information I have it. The new chat gave me a really detailed “clinical differential diagnosis with Bayesian assessment “ which was a veeery interesting and informative read. Kind of like reading a full medical report on my issues with probabilities and unknowns. Of course still going to the doctors office tomorrow, but much less nervous.

From mine: It’s mainly context: when you give ChatGPT a full clinical picture, it can give a measured differential, whereas patients often give limited or anxiety-driven information, so it errs on the side of caution and flags serious possibilities rather than falsely reassuring them.

For me it’s the opposite! It tells me I’m fine. Buuut I have SEVERE health anxiety. Let me elaborate: 2-3mo ago I started noticing darker spots in my stool. Being colorblind and scared of the C word, I’ve asked chatgpt every time I’ve noticed this darkening. It ALWAYS tells me it looks normal. In panic, I’ve inspected it more closely with a wooden stick and it’s mucus, which has been confirmed to be brown by actual humans as well. Already went to a gastro and am awaiting test results (though consumed by anticipation and anxiety), and also started therapy today because I can’t afford to keep my mind running a thousand miles an hour! I have things to do!!! But to summarize: I ask chat if I’m at risk and send it pictures and it tells me I’m fine
