@yourheartdoc: I’m a girl dad. The allegations in the “Cornell Seven” case leave me disgusted and terrified. A young woman filed a suit that someone she trusted lured her into a fraternity, where she was given alcohol and drugs and raped by multiple fraternity brothers. She says Cornell failed her. Leaving her feeling that protecting the accused mattered more than protecting her. She didn’t finish college. How are we raising our children? Parents, especially those raising boys, need to ask themselves what they’re teaching about consent, respect, and accountability. I blame even the boys who were not involved in this, but knew it happened. We tell our daughters to be careful, watch their drinks, and be cautious about whom they trust. As a father, I understand that fear. But their safety cannot depend entirely on their vigilance. We need to raise sons who respect women, intervene when someone is in danger, and hold their friends accountable. And we need universities that take reports of sexual violence seriously. Cornell clearly didn’t. I am disgusted. #cornell7 #girldad #daughters

Even though my dad claims to be a proud feminist and a "good guy" he definitely would have been one of the 50 boys on that group text who did nothing. 😪😪😪
