I actually think the best thing would be to go to the police station yourself rather than just calling. Explain the whole situation, show them all the proof and evidence of what he has been doing, and tell them exactly what he has been saying and what threats he has made. You can also tell them that he has been saying these things to your sister and her son as well. You can make a formal complaint about the threats he has been making towards you and your friend. Even if he is in another country, that doesn’t mean the police can’t do anything. They can contact the police in the country where he is. I know this because I live in the UK. My friend also used to live in the UK, but she had to leave and go to Poland because her partner was threatening to kill her. Even after she went to Poland, he continued threatening her, sending her messages and calling her. She went to the Polish police, showed them everything, and the Polish police were able to communicate with the English police. So even though you are currently in Moldova, you can still go to the police, explain everything and provide all the evidence. You have every right to report this and ask the police for help. Please don’t think that being in another country means you have no options.

Someone CAN do something, my sister was on vacation in Thailand with her ex and he was being crazy and holding her hostage in their hotel room, we found out where she was, called the restaurant across the street and convinced the woman who answered the phone to go alert hotel security who called their local police and they all went up and removed him from the room and banned him from the property.
