@lizzie.ramey: I think on a day like today (Boston Marathon acceptance day) it’s SO easy to beat yourself up and think “dang, I was so close, What IF I just ran 8 seconds faster? What IF I took it more seriously, what IF this or what IF that??” But what IF taking an extra 8 seconds to hug my parents mid race was what actually got me to be strong, know I’m supported and get me to the finish line? What if my best race ever really wasn’t about the number or a time? Here’s a reminder to NEVER take a moment for granted, never regret a moment and don’t be so hard on yourself for your shortcomings! You can’t change the past, you can only change the future. It’s moments like this that have changed me forever and have helped me love life and appreciate all that I have and for that, I wouldn’t change a thing.
