after 2 years in FIFO working a few different jobs I can honestly say do not be a drillers offsider. it's incredibly physically and psychologically demanding and pays about $38 an hour. you can go be a ta for any shutdown company which is pretty laid back on $55 -$65 an hour.

Just find a drill company you want to work for and walk into their office and ask to leave your resume. They may even have a group interview that week that you can sit in - the turnover is that quick. No tickets required either
