The other possibility is that we will just develop so much demand for new things that any sector that still uses a human in even a tiny way, still needs just as many humans as ever. That seems to be happening in software: we just really want a *lot* of good software, so you can 10x, or 100x the output and still we employ people.

your relationship with your therapist absolutely matters, human connection is part of the treatment. AI can meet certain aspects and may replace counseling for some people but it can't meet all needs related the mental health

Nonsense. Just look at how we have to pay taxes in the United States. It should be a very simple two line equation. But we have to pay thousands of dollars to an accountant because the art of filing taxes is to “fudge the heck out of it”. You think a robot/ automated excel sheet would be able to do that?

Coding is the most simple since it’s literally rules for a computer with billions of billions of stolen examples of how to perform an action. AI isn’t pushing coding forward yet by any real example. No revolution just getting better as more and more tech firms hand over their code to them. AI hasn’t moved forward CS in form of architecture or paradigm. But Gates skips that part to jump to other fields. Lazy and needs called out
