you can re-plant the vine and it will produce another sweet potato too.Its actually faster growing sweet potato than planting a new one.That what we do in our province.Just cut the roots and plant the tops.

Also deer love the baby leaves but thats ok the potatoes just keep growing . I was so worried our first year growing them when the deers at the leaves down to basically nothing

We grew russets and Yukon gold for first time this year. I had the same reaction when we dug them. I hope to grow sweet potatoes next year!
