@thesingingsourdough: You’re starter isn’t dead. That greyish liquid on top is called hooch! Pour it off and give your starter a stir and a good feed. Hooch forms when your yeast has eaten through all of the available food. Basically means your starter is HUNGRY. What else do you want to know?
