Social media can make it seem like everyone else’s faith is effortless, but behind the posts are real people walking through real struggles. Here are a few things many Christian girls wrestle with. 💖⬇️ 1. Feeling guilty when your quiet time isn’t “perfect.” Sometimes as girls, we feel the need for our time with God to look a certain way or meet certain requirements in order to be adequate. But God isn’t looking for perfection or a certain routine. He just desires a heart that seeks Him! 2. Wondering if you’re really hearing God’s voice. Sometimes it’s hard to discern what is God’s voice, our own voice, and the voice of the world. However, the more time you spend in God’s Word, the more you’ll learn to recognize His voice. 3. Comparing your walk with God to someone else’s. It’s easy to compare our valleys to someone else’s mountains. However, we have to remember that God is working in each of us differently. So trust that His plan and timing for your life are good. 4. Feeling lonely because you want godly friendships. In a world of shifting culture & a lack of God, finding a community of friends who love Jesus can be such a struggle. As hard as it can be, keep praying for and pursuing biblical community because God created us to encourage one another and walk through life together. 5. Praying for something for years and wondering if God forgot. Sometimes in our seasons of waiting on the Lord, we can lose sight of God’s promises & feel as though He’s forgotten us. However, throughout Scripture we see that seasons of waiting never indicate the absence of God. 6. Fighting insecurity while reminding everyone else of their worth. Sometimes it’s easy to know the truth, and even remind others of the truth. However, believing it for ourselves can be harder. This is your reminder to speak the same truth over yourself that you speak over others. Never forget your identity is found in Christ. 7. Wanting to trust God but secretly wanting your own timeline. Sometimes we know that God’s timing is best, but it can still feel frustrating when everything around us is moving at a different pace. However, stand firm in the truth that every plan God has for your life will happen exactly when He wants it to. Sometimes you have to remind your heart, even when your mind already knows the truth. 8. Feeling like you have to have it all together because you’re a Christian. As followers of Jesus, we often struggle with the balance of giving ourselves grace & dying to our flesh. While they go hand in hand, it can be hard to fully believe that God’s grace could be extended. Following Jesus doesn’t mean being perfect… It means daily depending on His grace as you become more like Him. 9. Struggling with consistency more than anyone knows. Sometimes we struggle with consistency because we’re struggling to put Christ as a priority. Every day we have to make the decision to put Christ first and sit at His feet. 10. Wondering if God could really use someone like you after you’ve messed up. We often buy into the lies of the enemy who tries to minimize God’s redeeming power. Scripture proves that we serve a God who uses broken people to bring Him glory. Your past doesn’t disqualify you because God’s grace is greater. If you saw yourself in this list, you’re not alone. God isn’t asking you to be perfect… He’s inviting you to keep coming back to Him. 💖
