I open carry a lot. I was in the army forever, then a police officer, now retired. I have PTSD and am hyper aware of my surroundings and watch everyone and position myself with my weapon opposite of people and I read their body language.

I open carry and I conceal, carry everyday but when I'm in a business I'm constantly watching everything going on around me. I the door opens I look watch calulat and continue. We need to open carry so that people get used to it its important we do it but you need to understand your a target and plan accordingly. If your not at the top of your game this will happen plus having the correct holster helps. They make Lockijg Holsters for a reason. It's also why I do both one is a second amendment statement the other is my protection. Both are important!!!

If you’re that oblivious to the world, you shouldn’t be carrying a gun at all. I’m pretty sure this is the most honest neighborhood. This is one of those that’s really not relevant to what in reality. You got fluid gas station with these people behind you and you’re oblivious to everything…. Sounds like the problem isn’t open. Carry . Sounds like the problem is you?
