i genuinely think social media has such a hold on people that we don't do proper research. I feel like I see this argument in almost every case of a woman coming out of r4pe. Most of the time being a man, saying that there are “inconsistencies within the case” and trying to pave a way to make it falsifiable. I for one think this is absolutely ridiculous. Just because there may be minor inconsistencies, still should not diminish what happened. In the end of the day, this probably took the woman a lot of strength to come forward with. To me, the fact we are already making broad assumptions and trying to prove it’s fake, shows me how prevalent the patriarchy remains.

I feel pretty mixed about it. A lot of people are blaming everyone in that gc, though if I were in one with 50 other dudes I probably would have it muted and rarely check it. What I’ve seen of it doesn’t really seem completely criminalizing either. And for the thing itself, I’ve not heard any details about it not being consensual unless you’re considering intoxication, which I assume the men were under too (definitely not fully defending this). She also seemingly met up with one of the guys a couple days after to hang out?
