@letsjuststartpodcast: Good governments are LONG gone. It’s ALL fake now. Hawke and Howard governments would come to the electorate and explain the changes they were making, sometimes for months, and take them to elections. Win or lose. Modern governments will say *literally* anything to avoid accountability and sneak through anything they can to gain control and stifle opposition. It’s all fake. And it’s going bad fast. #letsjuststartpodcast #auspol #fake #gaslighting #goverment @Laura Racky @Christian Cunningham @2kidsfromtheburbs
You're absolutely right and the problem is, when is this all going to end. I believe politicians should be forced to answer questions when presented to them instead of always deflecting.

Once you see things as they truly are you will never believe the lies again. It’s just Monopoly money, snake oil and shiny trinkets. One day the music will stop…………

Yep, spot on. These difficult conversations need to be had leading up to an election so people understand what’s at play.

When you say ‘both sides’ .. there is no both sides.. it’s a system designed to keep voters locked into the two party system. It’s a uniparty.. you’re right.. it’s all fakes.. a fake democracy.

100% agree. It seems like the majority of people don’t want to think and assess for themselves or play devils advocate, they just want to follow blindly the least resistive path from the media they consume the most. Left or right, liberal, labor or other play devils advocate, argue against their supposition and if they still make the strongest argument then great but if you do it regularly I believe most new government policies or ideas these day are self serving and/or short sighted from all sides. Realistically we are in a time period where governments are becoming and going to become less useful. We are already very developed, we can pay public servants through automated systems, AI will be able to handle a lot of smaller issues, by delegating actual government paid workers to where they’re needed most, systems are generally already set up by law with how to do everything that is needed from the government. All politicians are generally trying to do now is to keep or gain power not actually make their country, state or council area better.

Politicians technically do have codes of conduct and ethical frameworks, but unlike lawyers or accountants, they are not governed by an independent, self-regulating professional body that can strike them off a registry or strip them of their license to practice.

i think the trillions of dollars in debt is from preferentially and systematically supporting private profits over people - if you’re on the side of capital its the opposite of incompetence 👀

Nice try with your kindergarten politics, the IMF has John Howard was the most profligate leader in Australian history. Blew the Chinese boom on a housing bubble and the army is in civil war over Ben Roberts Smith. They need foreign soldiers now.
