It's the most stupidest thing. It's not going to save anyone anything. Business will be forced to just rise prices, your coffee that was $5.07 will now be $5.25 or $5.50 And now everyone will be paying more Wether It's eftpos, cash or direct deposit. When before only those who chose to pay eftpos paid a small surcharge. It's so stupid only loosers here are small businesses & the consumers the banks and government still get all there money.

They haven’t saved consumers at all we will all put our prices up to cover for the loss the banks will now make the business wear. Government knows this some ppl are to stupid to understand what’s happening thinking they are going to save 🤦🏽♂️some ppl need to use some logic u will be charged just in another way only winner here is banks and government taxes
