My grandfather never got past 8th grade, and patched together jobs before becoming a tool and die maker. In his 80s, he funded college for 9 great grandchildren. All 3 of mine got their undergrad degrees with zero debt. Talk about a leg up!

This feels like it SHOULD be obvious, but somehow most of America seems CERTAIN this is completely wrong. Capitalism isn’t just flawed in practice, it has fundamental flaws that need to be managed, and yet somehow that management is seen as a moral wrong.

My mom was defending the whole BS system we have in the US. My oldest daughter looked at her and said "If hard work made you rich, my dad would.be a millionaire" That is what finally got my mom to realy look at how things are and reconsider her stance

I think every American should be taught about the tax system and the trust system. The same system that everyone in DC benefits from. Combine that with a solid knowledge of capitalism and how it works and you get successful wealthy individuals.

People are stunned that someone who is good at playing the system would ever criticize it. As the only way to be a real ally is to be destitute. When those people talk no one listens cause they have already been deemed as failures. I'm glad to have people who are successful admit the game is still rigged and their success doesn't mean it's fair.
